Can’t live with UAC

Really tried to live with UAC but failed. If you are developing software then you really can’t continue with UAC and get things done. So I turned it off!

Migrated to Rednels.com

I finally decided to migrate my posts and pages on the free WordPress.com blog (Geeman – now deleted) to a private hosting service with my own domain.

Whilst I could have done that staying with WordPress.com, I wanted to also attempt the installation and go it alone, learning and living the tools using my own mental muscles.

So far, the installation, theme selection, plugin configuration and migration have worked fairly well.

Will post more if not.

Buy a copy now

My book, Developing with ExtGWT: Enterprise RIA Development, is now available on the Apress (the publisher) website for sale as part of their early access program – Alpha.

So why not buy a copy, at a discounted price, and also gain the opportunity to provide feedback and shape the direction and quality of the final product.

Cashing in on the hype – mePhone

Seems rumors are flying fast about the mePhone – Dell’s latest interest in the Smart Phone market. Apparently one phone will be WinMo (Windows Mobile) and the other Android (Google). It’s great to hear the market is starting to swell with Android options – the platform really needs more choices to knock the fruit basket off its high perch.

(not sure I like the Dell style, but hey, I like the brick that is the G1)

Hello World

Like all first things in computing, you should start with the obligatory “Hello, World” … so here it is.
